About Emergency Response
The ability of first responders and other critical personnel to communicate during emergency events is a key component of public safety. Lives can be saved when entities like the State Patrol, city and county police, and medical emergency responders can communicate through an interconnected system. The Minnesota Department of Transportation owns and maintains ARMER, the core infrastructure providing such a communications system, and is committed to enhance and maintain emergency communications infrastructure across the state.
